The Art of Writing is an educational company that provides Literacy Workshop experiences and products that are designed to help students unlock their creativity through Writing and Art Making. At our core, we believe in the dual power of Visual Arts and Language Arts in transforming children's relationship to literacy and most importantly their self expression.
As a Caribbean entity, we acknowledge the rich history and the magic of storytelling, not just as a tool of expression, but as a way to connect young minds to the ever developing global narrative.

Kernella Berment
Literacy Educator
An educator with over 15 years experience, Ms. Berment is a passionate about literacy and language skills. She is the SEA teacher at a private primary school for the past 10 years. Ms. Berment is trained in Methods of Teaching Dyslexics as well as NOW! (Neuro- development of Words) Mental Imagery for Language, Comprehension, Memory and Reasoning ® - programs designed to build confident readers and writers.
Khaffi Beckles
Visual Arts Educator
An educator with over 7 years experience, Ms. Beckles holds a Masters in Art and Visual Culture Education from the University of Arizona. She is passionate about visual arts as a medium for expression and learning. Her work and research engage with the challenge of making visual arts accessible to all. Ms. Beckles is also a practicing artist and has participated in group and solo exhibitions both locally and abroad.
